What a gem. Oita sushi moved to Park Slope during the pandemic. Amazing neighborhood sushi place with superior taste and some flavor twists. Me and my daughter go once a week. Try signature roll set and tempura udon. After sushi oita every sushi joint in the neighborhood feels average.

We have loved OITA for several years now. The quality of the sushi and the hot dishes from the kitchen like the karage, is truly exceptional. We live in a city where you can enjoy some of the most amazing sushi on the planet. If you're a millionaire. At OITA , they pride themselves on first class sushi at a reasonable price. And now, we have another compelling reason to visit. Michelle, our server ! Thank you, Michelle, for taking care of us this evening.

Came here tonight to celebrate a friends birthday and between 4 people- this was the perfect amount of food! Interior is simple, classy and clean. They have seating for 4-6 people groups and or if you come in pairs or alone. I got a peach sour to start the night and I recommend coming during happy hour for a cheaper price! I will say that the price for their omakase was definitely easier on the wallet, but still pricey if you're watching your budget and could make do without an omakase experience. But tonight was a celebration and so we all got the Omakase and tonight's selections included quality pieces of Madai, Kanpachi, Akame, Shima Aji, Hotate, Fluke, Hamachi, Sake, King salmon, Toro, Uni and A5 wagyu as our last piece! Starting from top left-right, every piece was like a crescendo that led up to the A5 Wagyu with truffle and it was amazing! My personal favorites were the Kanpachi, king Salmon, Sake and Wagyu because they melt in your mouth and each fish was so clean and simple! *Every piece had a decent amount of wasabi beneath the fish and if you're not a big fan of it, I would suggest you make a note to your hostess!! After the omakase, it was hard to top that, but the signature set looked too good to not get! I was not wrong because it was a great end to the night! The filling for each roll were similar and the main difference was the toppings and fish, otherwise- you can expect avocado, cucumbers and mango! Overall, it is a great experience if you've never had omakase and feel too intimidated to sit at a bar countertop by yourself or by the price tag usually associated with omakases!

Great food and service! Feels a bit like a museum with the high ceilings. Lunch specials were amazing and a reasonable price.

Lunch omakase was such a good deal - $45 for 9 pieces of sushi (including toro) and a tuna tartare temaki! The service was impeccable - the only complaint was that the omakase took more than 30 mins to make (it was presented all at once). However, great neighborhood spot, fresh sashimi, and will definitely come back again

After our recent trip to Japan my husband and I were craving quality sushi and had read great things about Oita. Happy to say they were true and we will definitely be back! Above all, the fish quality and freshness is excellent and the nigiri felt especially authentic (not too much rice, sizable cuts of fish done in the traditional style). The akami and hamachi belly were particularly great. The toro scallion and king salmon crunch hand rolls were also favorites. Our opinions were more split on the spicy tuna crispy rice (I loved, husband was more lukewarm) and dumplings (obviously very freshly prepared but quite fried). The overall ambience is airy, quiet and calm and service was warm and fast. We would have loved to try the cocktails as they sound really interesting -- next time!

Beautiful space with fun sushi rolls in Park Slope! The inside of the restaurant is very sleek and minimalist with nice wooden accents- very calming. The space is pretty large, with a good amount of tables in addition to bar seating. I split the tuna crispy rice and the signature roll set and it was plenty of food for two. The signature roll set had an assortment of interesting and unique rolls ranging from truffle to mango- my fave was the New York crunch w potato crisps on top. The tuna crispy rice was also a bit different- served as a tartare w crispy rice chips for dipping. Very crispy and tasty though! Service was super attentive and very welcoming. Definitely will be coming back if I'm in the area.

I came here for lunch on a chilly Friday. The restaurant is very open, airy and sparse. The staff were nice and welcoming. The lunch menu was very affordable, IMO. I had the salmon teriyaki which came with rice and picked veggies and roasted shishito peppers. Next time, I would try the omakase lunch special ($45).

Came here with a friend for some sushi. The waitress was super nice . We shared a few rolls and nigiri. I can't remember the names unfortunately and I forgot to take the pictures of them. But everything was very fresh and flavorful. The picture is of the happy hr potato appetizer which was very well seasoned and delicious. We ended the meal with a nice cup of hot tea. Maybe next time we will try the omakase

Great vibes, amazing sushi, friendly service, and a strong happy hour. What more can you ask for? We loved the spicy yuzu drink from their happy hour! The sushi was fresh and very flavorful. The bites on their happy hour menu were also delicious and filling. I loved the spicy skewers and the pork dumplings. Great spot to have in brooklyn!
